How to Get Your Website Unbanned From Google
Millions of websites have been effected in the last few years by Googles new algorithms. Without fail I see at least 1 post about someone who has bad backlinks that are hurting their search engine positioning on google. Here are a few ways to check if you have been blocked or banned by Google.
- Check in your Google Webmaster Tools account for a message from Google telling you that you are banned. (If you don’t have a Google Webmaster Tools account please go on to the next step.)
- Check your Page Rank (PR) if it has dropped down to 1 or 0 your site may be in trouble with Google.
- Check your ranking for the same 3 keywords on Google, Bing and Yahoo. If you show up on the first page for bing and yahoo for all three searches and not on Google at all then you are probably being blocked or banned.
- Get a Free Link and Website Audit with one of our internet marketing specialists.
If you have a Page Rank over 3 and are showing up on the first page of google for multiple keywords your website is probably not banned or blocked by Google. However if you paid for link building in the past at all you are lucky that you have not been banned by Google yet.
The GOOD news is that there are ways to fix the probelm!
- Fire the company who did the link building for you. They are what is called a black hat SEO company. Black hat SEO is not good for your business. You might have done okay for a week, a month or even a year but now your business is going broke, cause you are not showing up on Google.
- Schedule a Free Link and Website Audit with one of our internet marketing specialists. They will be able to explain to you what you will need to do in your particular situation to fix the issues you are having.
- Don’t procrastinate this situation will not fix itself and it usually takes 4-6 months to get unbanned.
